How did you start blogging?
While working in construction industry as sustainability consultant, I realized the need of sustainability awareness in society, especially in UAE back in 2009. To spread the awareness about sustainable lifestyle I started writing this blog, where I share my knowledge and experience of living sustainable or green.
What do you write about?
I write about all aspects of green living write from sustainable food, fashion, and DIYs. My blog includes Green Living tips, my experience of green parenting, Our stories of responsible travel, UAE’s environment and conservation efforts and review of sustainable products and services available locally.
Tips for new Bloggers?
As a blogger, you need to have passion for the topic you are writing about. Also creating original and unique content is important.
What are the challenges you face with blogging?
I struggle with technical part of blogging, I just like to write. But as I blog to spread awareness, I need to homework, dig deeper to write a not just good post but technically correct and easy to understand. So it takes longer to create and publish the post.
What do you do outside of blogging?
I used to work full-time as a sustainability professional while writing on blog. Now I have taken a break from my work, to stay with my son in his important early years. Writing on my blog is the only constant thing in past 7 years.
Blogs you recommend my readers should read/follow?
I generally read things randomly according to the topic of interest. Just follow blogs which you find interesting.
