Al Ain is also known as the “Garden City” because of its greenery. It is the second largest city of Abu Dhabi and the fourth largest city in the UAE. (That little trivia is brought to you by Wikipedia 😀 )
What did we do in Al Ain? Why did we go there?
You see, I’ve been here in the UAE since 2002 and I still haven’t gone to Al Ain, not until late last year. We had a lot of excuses not to go. “It’s too far”, “We don’t have a car”, “we don’t know where to go” … it goes on and on. Last year, when my brother and nephews visited, my cousin took us to Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain.
Since then, I’ve been fascinated with Al Ain. And because we now have the means to go there (a proper car!!), I told A that we should explore this city.
I made an itinerary from Visit Abu Dhabi website keeping in mind that we should visit the Unesco World Heritage sites. It would be a shame to leave this country without visiting the only place in the UAE that is in Unesco’s list. We weren’t able to follow the whole itinerary but we had loads of fun.

Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
