Currently – January 2017
It’s the last Saturday of January!! Can you believe it?
The month is flying by and I only posted 2 blog posts (three, including this). So, to update, I’m writing down my “currents”.
How does it work? I picked 5 prompts (others use more) to keep everyone up to date (everyone who is interested, that is!). Here goes:

Starting the “currently series” hoping that this would get me out of my blogging lull. I intend to do this at least once a month. *crossing fingers*
[wc_highlight color=”green”]Currently Enjoying.[/wc_highlight]
We are currently enjoying the lovely Dubai weather. We have spent some time at the park for the past 2 weeks. It’s a tad too cold for swimming so we prefer to have picnics and get some sun in the park. We’re loving Mushrif Park lately.
[wc_highlight color=”green”]Currently Planning.[/wc_highlight]
We’re travelling to LA in the near future for my sister’s wedding so that’ requires some planning. Since everybody will be busy preparing for the wedding, we must be able to go “around” with very little help. The last time we were there, my sister planned the whole thing so the hardest part was to endure the 16 hour flight and battle jet lag.
This time we will have to plan and move with very little help. Good Luck to us!!

Two day weekends!!!
For almost 10 years, I only had 1.5 days off. Thursdays are half days (which can easily extend to full 8 hours of work!) and we get a full day on Friday. But since the change in management, we now have 2 days off! I have prayed for this for the longest time. Now I have more time to spend with A and B!
(Altho I think A is not as impressed … he used to “rest” on Saturdays and now he has me hanging around)
[wc_highlight color=”green”]Currently Feeling.[/wc_highlight]
Accomplished.
In the past 2 months, I was able to cross stuff from my bucket list. Nothing major but they’ve been there for the longest time and it’s a relief to be able to finally cross them out!
2. Make a Candle
I actually want to make a candle from scratch but I’m having a hard time sourcing materials. There are old candles scattered around the house so I thought I’d recycle them. I bought scents and started melting away. This would do for now, I guess.
28. Have an indoor [herb] garden.
Not exactly “herbs” (and not indoors since my garden is on my balcony) but I’ll take it. I have tried to grow something for the past years but I always fail. It’s different this time because my garden is thriving. I’m excited!
related post: growing celery, growing celery v2, plants
We have cherry tomatoes and chili. We didn’t do anything special this time. In fact, we just threw seeds on the soil and watered them regularly. We started from the bottom and now we’re here!
32. Wear a wig and false lashes.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time just because. I was able to cross out wearing false lashes when I attended the JLo concert held in Dubai. I realized that there is no perfect time to wear both falsies and a wig and that I should make it happen. So I did!
I wore falsies and a wig (a cheap party wig from Daiso!) on New Year’s Eve.

Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
