Hello December!
So, it’s December. Actually, it’s the “end” of December.
I know. It’s been a while.
I tried to keep up but life just happens, you know. There was a major change in my workplace recently so that took a lot of my time. No more “extra” time. Everything is all about work, work, work. That explains my silence here. I’m still somewhat active in my social media … especially Instagram (also check out Alvin’s IG)
I know I promised to write more. But there’s something in 2016 that’s not right. I tried to be positive but now that we’re less than 5 days away from the new year, I have this heavy feeling in my heart that I just couldn’t shake.
Goodbye 2016
I’m so ready to leave 2016 behind.
If you remember, 2016 started with a fire at The Address Downtown.
I listed 7 goals for 2016, I managed to do 2. Yes, only two!
The biggest and most desired goal was the most painful loss I had this year. I’m in tears, reading my post about this loss.
Edit to add:
We’ve made a couple of trips to the ER this year. Both Blake and I got hospitalized. 🙁
I watched the Star Wars movies before 2016 kicked in. And now I found out Carrie Fisher who played Princess Leia passed away. We’ve come full circle, 2016!
Not everything is bad, though.
I got to watch Les Miserables, not just once — TWICE! One in Manila and one here in Dubai. I was able to travel to the Philippines two times this year. My family came to visit me here in the UAE, for the first time. These and other good things happened in 2016 but…
I’m really looking forward to 2017.
Hopefully, things will be better. There’s a lot to look forward to … my sister is getting married! (so yes, we will be traveling early next year). And I’m turning 4-0!
I’m ready. 🙂
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
