And yet again, I am starting my post with … “this is a late post”. 😛
A couple of months back, we decided to take B to Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo in Dubai Mall. Summer has started and the only place we could go was the mall. Entertainer vouchers also played a part in this decision. Haha!!
This was my first time as well and I thought it was expensive considering you’d just go through the underwater tunnel. (Of course, I was wrong!)
B was super amazed at the range of aquatic animals inside the aquarium tank. Dubai Mall aquarium is one of the largest suspended aquarium in the world!
It houses thousands of aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over 300 Sharks and Rays live in this tank, including the largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.
A walk through the 48 metre tunnel gives a 270 degree view of the tank. B kinda freaked out at the entrance because most of the sharks were looming there. After spending some time at the tunnel, we proceeded to the Underwater Zoo which is at level two of the aquarium tank.
There are three ecological zones in the underwater zoo: Rain forest, Rocky Shore and Living Ocean. Honestly I wasn’t able to concentrate on these zones as B started running around.
I loved this part right here. B and I went inside a small “cave” and ended up in this transparent dome. Felt like we were inside the tank as well! It was quite stuffy inside but it caught B‘s attention, definitely.
Bye Fish!!
Hahaha!! I guess the fish got fed up.
Who knew there’s a colony of penguins in Dubai Mall? B shrieked with delight as soon as she saw the penguins and started walking like one. HAHA!
Definitely a good deal. The tickets were for 70 AED each (toddlers below 3 years go in for free!! SCORE!). But because I have Entertainer vouchers, I only paid for one. You can check out Dubai Mall Aquarium’s website for more information. They’re also in Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
