I just turned to that person who eats what she says…
Well not exactly… I said there won’t be any HUGE party… right? Here’s what happened:
We have planned to book a room for the weekend and spend it “family-style”. Lounge by the pool, eat, sleep and play. But that did not work out. (Long painful story…)
So we go to plan B. We decided to do a photo shoot session instead. It’s pricey but it will be a nice keepsake for Blake (the photos, I mean). More details on this next week after we get the photos. On her special day, we just stayed at home. Prepared some snacks and invited kids over. It was just about 5 kids in total plus a newborn and Blake.
We didn’t really splurged on the details. In fact I bought supplies from the Discount Center.
I served cut – out sandwiches (Ham, Butter-Strawberry Jam and Nutella), shaped veggies and fruit (carrots, cucumbers and melon in various shapes), Apple smiles, Fish spring rolls, Healthy Spaghetti.
For the grown ups, Baby Daddy made Braised Beef and Pansit. I made the Chicken Macaroni salad because I have been craving for some. HAHA!
This awesome cake is sponsored by Jenna. Thanks Jenna!! So beautiful and yummy!
And of course, Wendy made some cassava cake (sorry, no close up photo) Ansarap-makakalimutan-mo-pangalan-mo-sa-sobrang-sarap!!
We started at around 4 pm and finished at 7. Just in time for Blake’s night time ritual. No fuss. No crying baby. It was a good day. Success!!
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
