I’ve been busy (and lazy) this week, sorry. This post has been sitting on my drafts for a couple of days now.
Anyhoo, I’m not really a make-up person. I don’t have favorite brands really and I don’t always go for expensive make-up (but I also don’t go for super cheap “unknown” items for fear of breaking out). However, eversince I started this blog and going beauty blog hopping, my interest in make-up became stronger. (I blame Sol for this!)
Last week I decided to buy my first MAC products. Yes, first MAC items that I bought using my own money (most make-up I own were gifts). Why did I buy MAC? Well, it is a good brand, right? Plus I figured its much better to know my skin type/color so I can relate to beauty posts. =D
I got Mineralize Satin Finish foundation in NW20, concealer in NW25 and Mineralize Skin Finish powder. These were the recommendations of the SA. The question is, why is my concealer one shade darker than my foundation? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Mind boggling! Although, with proper blending, it doesn’t look weird at all!
What other products would you recommend for someone who’s just starting?
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
