B has been sick since last week. What I thought was just a typical cold turned out to be something more serious. You see, I never really worried much about these things because she gets them around the same time since the weather is changing (it’s getting cooler in this part of the world, finally!!). We all get it, actually, so I didn’t think much.
Boy, was I wrong! This time her colds and cough became more serious. I got really worried when she would get a low-grade fever at night. I decided to see the doctor when her temperature hit 39C!
Doctor had x-ray and some blood tests done. He confirmed that it’s a bacterial infection. In other terms, pneumonia.
OMG!
He gave us antibiotics, herbal cough medicine and salbutamol. After 4 days of medication, we went back to the doctor for a follow-up. He says there’s a significant improvement on B’s condition and that we need to finish the course of the medication.
We will be going back in a couple of days to see if we need to extend the medication or if we’re in the clear. I’m just so relieved that B is reacting positively to the medications.
Her appetite is back and she’s very active. No more fever, just coughing. Hopefully, we don’t have to extend the medication.
I better go to bed now, its time for some nebulising action. AND B is calling me … “mummy! It’s time for bed!” 😀
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.

Hope she gets better. I had pneumonia just before I left Dubai… 🙁
