UPDATE: 10.08.15
Please note of the update from Turkish Consulate General in Dubai. My original post is dated 2013, I cannot guarantee that the same process still applies. Kindly check with the Consulate. Thank you.
UPDATE 2: Check the below comment for an update as per the experience of one of our Kabayan. Thanks!
~~~
Whew! Finally found the chance to do a proper blog post! I was so drained from that trip … in a good way. I will be making several posts about Turkey because one is not enough. Let me start from the very beginning!
HOW TO APPLY FOR VISA
Since I am Filipino, I needed to apply for visa. Imagine my stress when I received the email that I need to go to Turkish Consulate in Dubai to get my visa … four days before the trip! Normally, visa processing would take 3 – 5 working days. I still did not get my hotel and airline booking so basically I do not have any other documentation with me. Anyhow, here’s what you need when applying for visa:
- Application Form (Download Here).
- Passport (must be valid at least 6 months during the time of application)
- Passport copy (With Dubai visa copy)
- One passport sized photo
- NOC from sponsor
- Copy of confirmed flight and hotel booking
- 3 months bank statement
- Salary Certificate
- Application Fee (AED 220)
- Turkish Consulate is located at the 8th floor of World Trade Center Building. (Map)
- The Consulate opens at 830 am. Be there early because they only accept 60 tokens/transactions per day.
- Turkish Visa collection starts from 1 – 2 pm (on your appointed collection date)
Need po b ng tenancy contract? And how much and bank balance n need ?
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi. Please note that this post is from 2013. Please check with the consulate for the most recent process. Based on my experience, I did not present any tenancy contract and bank balance. However, a good rule of thumb is to have to prove that you are able to travel and support your stay. Good luck!
Hi po,
Ask ko lng po when it comes to booking airfare and hotels. Need po b na confirmed booking tlg? I mean what if madeny po ung application ng visa sayang nmn po yung mga binayad sa airfare and accommodations.. Pwede po b na dummy ticket and dummy hotel reservations just to be safe po ? PLEASE ADVISE po.
Thanks in advance.
Alvin | AB&Me says
It has to be confirmed, meron naman pong fare class na refundable/rebookable ganun din po sa hotels.
Romar says
ang concern ko po kc is what if madeny po ung application if ever.. or my case po b na nadedeny pdn kht complete docs nmn?
Alvin | AB&Me says
Kaya nga ang recommended na booking is yung refundable/rebookable, bihira ang cases na nadeny pag kumpleto ang documents. Karaniwan sa na dedeny eh hindi tugma yung mga information between documents.
Hh says
Hi Po, i was trying to get an appointment online but sabi full for the next 12 months. And meron other services ang VFs u will pay 194 to secure your appointment. And I did just to make sure may slot ako. Anyone have the same thing? And another concern here. When I get my bank statement sa bank, there was a system error, my name wont appear on the page just my account number, so bank made just like a word format with my name and account number and then with bank stamp. Anyone knows if this is just fine? Appreciate any help. Thank you
Alvin | AB&Me says
The document you received from the bank is acceptable as long as it has the bank stamp.
As far as we know, visa application for Philippines passport holder can be accomplished online. We are not sure about the appointment with VFS as we did not use their services for Turkish Visa.
Hh says
Hi po, I got my visa! Yaay I’m so happy! Flying to Turkey soon. Additional question lang po Kuya, aside from passport of course, wala na ba ako iba dalhin na documents for immigration? Thanks po
Alvin | AB&Me says
mag dala ka ng copy nung mga document na submit mo. Minsan kasi hinahanap yun ng immigration officer.
Romar says
Hi po. Need pa po b magsecure ng appointment online before going to consulate?? or pd bng dumirekta na sa consulate as walk in for visa application??
Alvin | AB&Me says
It is recommended to book an appointment.
Joy says
Hi po! Ask ko lang if possible ba ang walk in application and talaga po ba needed ang travel insurance?
Alvin | AB&Me says
There is no guarantee that you will be accommodated if just walk-in, if you have a valid US or Schengen visa you may apply a visa to Turkey electronically. If not, I would recommend that you go with an appointment.
joy says
Hello! With regards to uploading docs online, ano po ilalagay dun sa mga requirements na not applicable ex: letter from travel agency, hindi kasi ako makapagproceed ng online application hanggat walang uploaded file. Thank you!
Alvin | AB&Me says
Please review your application as you might have given a response that made uploading a letter from travel agency mandatory. If you cannot find anything as such, you may upload your flight/hotel booking or invitation letter if you have a sponsor.
Pauline Matibag says
Hello Alvin, Magtanong lang sana ako regarding a 3 months bank statement na requirement to apply turkish visa, is there a minimum amount na dapat imaintain? and from which date ang irerequest ko sa bank if magapply ako ng visa this october?
Alvin | AB&Me says
Wala naman minimum balance amount na requirement. Dapat latest 3 months counting from the date of application.
Shiela Rose Garcia says
Hi po just wanted to ask if need talaga sa vfs global dubai ako magpaappointment dahil residence dubai visa holder ako but im working in al ain. Gusto ko kasi sa abu dhabi mag appointment since mas maaga ung available slots doon. huhu .. sa dubai sept.19 sa abu dhabi sept.4 . sept.28 kc ang plan ko flight so how long ba processing ng visa if ever/
Christian says
Hi Sir Alvin. Need your advise lang po. Sa August po magtravel ako sa Georgia since may UAE resident visa po ako, aware naman po ako na exempted na po ako sa visa sa Georgia.. ask ko lang po pano po yun pag mag crossing the border ako papunta sa Turkey (May dala po kami private car from Georgia). Madali na po ba ako makakapag apply ng visa ng Turkey thru Consulate-General of Turkey sa may DWTC. Saka po meron na din po pala akong Schengen visa, just in case makakatulong na rin po ba to para mapabilis or malaki ang chance maapproved ng visa? Salamat po.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Pwede po kayo mag apply ng evisa, wala po kaming experience sa pag dala ng sasakyan cross border.
Paki siguro na lang po na kumpleto ang paperworks ninyo para hindi magka aberya sa travel ninyo.
Mary says
Hi po… Me and my Turkish Fiancee is planning to go to Turkey this coming August for a week only. As mentioned above, 3 months bank statement is needed. Paano po kapag walang transactions for many months, may alternatives po ba dito? or pwede ko ba lagyan yung account ko starting this month upto August… accepted po kaya? Kaka-visa ko lang din ulit for work. Thanks for sa help!
Alvin | AB&Me says
Ang purpose ng bank statement is to support yung capability mo na suportahan yung gastos mo sa destination at the prove na may source of income ka.
Kung walang activity ang account mo, pero indicate mo na may trabaho ka at sabi ng company mo na may sweldo ko, ma question kung saan pumapasok yung pera mo. Kung wala kang activity dahil wala ka naman work, kailangan mo lang isubmit ang statement ng asawa mo.
Mayra Magno says
Hi Alvin, may tanong po ako, regarding sa bank account. Travel ko is Nov. 9 (only 5 days in Turkey for Marathon only). Appointment date ko sa VSF is on October 2, kaso kumuha na ako ng bank statement (UNB) ng June to August. pero ung last 2 months ko sa BS (July- August) ung sahod ko sa ibang bank na pumasok (ADIB), nagdedeposit din ako sa UNB.. Pero kunti lang.. Magkakatpoblema po ba ako at may dapat po ba na malakai ang ending balance?
Please po I need your advise.
Thanks in advance!
Alvin | AB&Me says
Hindi naman po magkaka problema, ang purpose po ng bank statement eh para mapatunayan na may income ka at tugma sa salary certificate galing sa company. Ginagamit din ang bank statement para malaman kung may ibang source of income pero not declared.
tinkeryann says
Hello everyone i just had my appointment with turkish visa application well apparently all non schengen visa holder needs to apply their visa through vsf global in wafi mall. thank God the transaction was smooth they had just double checked my Bank account and that’s it. so in general it was an easy and hassle free transaction.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Thank you for sharing.
yullie says
hello po, may tanong lng po ako nag apply kasi ako ng e visa nagkamali ako sa country / Region United Arab Emirates nalagay ko tas na realize ko pagkatapos nung tapos na lahat pati payment. if mag aapply ba ako ulit ng visa magiging problema po ba un? please po need ko ng answer. salamat po
Alvin | AB&Me says
Hindi mo na ba ma edit yung existing application? Subukan mo contact yung support ng website para ma edit yung existing application.
Pero sa tingin ko naman hindi magkaka problema kung mag apply ka ulit dahil it will be considered as a new application.
yullie says
thanks for the reply po Sir Alvin, mag aapply nalang po ako ng new visa, need pa po ba ung application form? if need san ko po pwede e download un? pupunta nalang po kasi ako sa turkey consulate sa may 15 po para apply ng visa.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Pwede ka mag apply ng visa online, paki basa na lang ulit yung post meron link dun.O kaya sa ibang comments.
MJ says
Hi. I would judt like to ask, did you use any travel agency to assist you on the visa processing or you personally book an appointment to VSF? and one more thing, was your flight tickets dummy or confirmed? Sorry if im bugging you off with too many questions, I’m going to apply for visa next month 🙂
Alvin | AB&Me says
We did not use a travel agency. Application was done personally, As far as I know, for Philippine passport holders, application can be completed online.
yann says
hi! no i didn’t used travel agency,i did it on my own even the flight and hotel bookings, and it was all confirmed and not dummy. well, for me personally if you completed all the requirements needed for visa application then you can do it by yourself without an agency since all they do is to assist you, you still the one who will complete everything.
Shiela Rose Garcia says
Hello how long was the process of your visa application took?
Alvin | AB&Me says
At that time, the visa application is in person at the consulate, however Philippines passport holder can now apply for eVisa.
Mariel says
Hi Alvin. Ask ko lang if you have visas from Schengen, UK, Ireland, USA etc when you applied and got qualified for E-Visa? Hope to hear from you soon as I am in rush for visa application coz my visa here in Dubai is expiring in 7 days. Thank you so much!
Alvin | AB&Me says
No, we didn’t have any valid Schengen, UK, Ireland, USA when we applied for visa to Turkey. At that time eVisa is not applicable to Philippines passport holder.
Ellen says
Hi,
We are planning to travel to Turkey in Feb 2018. DIY travel lang balak namin and decided not to use any agency. Do you have any idea from where we can get a Travel Insurance?
Alvin | AB&Me says
We normally use dnatatravel but you can also check with your travel agent, or the airline from which you plan to purchase your plane ticket.
Ellen Ruth says
Thank you so much for the speedy response. 🙂 last question, is there any validity for the NOC? We will apply for visa by next month (December) and I’m planning to request my NOC this November (travel date is February 2018)
Alvin | AB&Me says
There is no validity indicated in the requirement, however, its a good practice to submit documents that are recently issued. If there is a valid reason why your NOC cannot be issued closer to the date of application, you should be able to explain it to the Consular officer in case you are required to appear for an interview.
Ellen Ruth says
Hi Sir! Last question. My husband’s UAE visa will expire on March 2018. But our PRO will renew his visa by January 2018. We are planning to apply for Turk visa this December 2017. Will it be a problem? or we can state that the company will renew his visa before our travel date?
Alvin | AB&Me says
It should not be a problem it is not possible to renew a UAE residence visa which is more than 3 months valid.
ejyann says
hi mam &sir i would like to ask about vsf global, i called turkey hotline and they told me to refer on that agency for tourist visa application, all my requirements are complete now, my main concern is how to set an appointment for visa application can i do it directly on their website? thank you very much
Alvin | AB&Me says
Click the Make an Appointment button on http://dubai.cg.mfa.gov.tr/Mission
You will be advised that you are qualified for eVisa, you will then have to click the eVisa button below. You may not have to go to the consulate or VFS to get the visa as it will be issued electronically.
tinkeryann says
Hi sir thank you for the quick reply, so the e-visa is issued for everyone now? not just to the applicants with valid schegen visa? beacause i don’t have one. thank you sir
Alvin | AB&Me says
eVisa is available to 100 nationalities.
ejyann says
are filipinos included? thank you again sir
Alvin | AB&Me says
I thinks so, I just tried it with my own details and was told by the system that I qualify for eVisa.
tinkeryann says
Thank you very much sir! God bless!
yullie says
hi Sir Alvin, ask lng po ako if ung evisa po ba ay pwede sa Administrative Assistant UAE visa holder? or meron sila designation required? thanks po.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Walang specific job title. Yung entitlement for eVisa e base sa nationality.
MJ says
Hi. this is what I’m confused too as well. I’ve seen in the website that Filipinos are eligible for E-visa, but most of the blogs i read done it thru VFS. Why do they have to go to VFS whereas e-visa is much more convenient… or it is still required to undergo visa application in VFS? lol sorry this is too much. hope you can help me
Alvin | AB&Me says
Not many people knows about the eVIsa, it was a recent change. Some still go through agency because they have a misconception that chances of approval is better.
APRIL LOVE says
Hi. Can I ask a question? Yung bank account ba nakapangalan sa akin dapat? Pano if sa Mama ko nakapangalang yung saving account at dun ko hinuhulog pera ko if need to gamitin yung debit card nya? Pwede ba yung bank statement ng mama ko ang ipresent ko? Currently kasi wala pa kong sariling bank account dito sa UAE kasi kahihire ko palang, Or magbukas man ako, since Sept na yung flight ko, pwede ba ako yun almost 1 month lang yung bank history ko ng bank ko na nakapangalan sakin mismo?
Alvin | AB&Me says
The account has to be in your name. It will be difficult for your to demonstrate that it is you who is depositing the money to the account.
It is actually illegal to use someone elses credit/debit card here in UAE.
yullie says
hi po, may tanong lng po ako regarding sa bank statement how much amount po ang need na balance sa account?
Alvin | AB&Me says
Wala pong specific amount. Kailangan lang mapatunayan na may source of income. Kailangan lang may sapat na pera ka at time of travel dahil baka hanapan ka ng evidence of fund sa immigration.
yullie says
thank you Mr. Alvin
Angelica says
Is it okay if the bank statement we’ll provide is the Payroll Account? Or it needs to be savings Account that we opened?
Alvin | AB&Me says
As long as the account shows your name or at least matches the account number stated in your payslip it should be OK to use for the visa application.
Shally says
Hi I am Shally, gusto ko lang po mag ask if pwede ba akong mag apply ng tourist visa sa turkey kahit na anh hawak kong visa ngayon ay tourist visa na lang din dito sa dubai, wala na kasi akong work tapos na contract ko but i decided to stay at magtourist visa luckily naka 90 days visa ako now till august 29, 2017. Gusto ko sana pumunta ng turkey pero di ko alam kung pwede bang mag apply ang tulad ko na naka tourist visa lang din sa dubai ngayon. Thank you po.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Its not possible, one of the document required is “Copy of the passport and the UAE residency visa”
kathie says
Hi good morning ms.sheila…just want to to ask if mag visit visa sa turkey then may tutuluyan kna dun na kamag anak…required pa den po ba ang hotel booking sa requirements..?
Sheila | A B & Me says
No. You just need to indicate that on your visa application.
Raquel says
Hi mam ..have a good day..ask q lng po if need ng sponsor kpg kumuha ng visit visa sa turkey? Plano q kc mag tour ng month of july for 1 week…ask q din po mas madali at mabilis po ba na makakuha ng visa if me mag invite s u..saka possible po ba na makuhaan ako mismo ng visa sa turkey then send thru email including flight ticket and hotel booking?? Pls..reply po..thank you and God Bless po😊😊😊
Alvin | AB&Me says
Its better if you have an invitation. We are not sure if tourist visa can be issued in Turkey for those outside the country. Better check with the embassy.
Marie says
Hi alvin and sheila i just wanted to ask i already got my appointment and went to embassy they took my documents and gave me a receipt indicating the collection date of my visa , they told me to check my email when i can take my visa but usually itll take 3-4 weeks , does that mean my application is accepted?will it actually takes 3-4 weeks ? im just still bit nervous Thank you
Alvin | AB&Me says
Are you sure they used the words in the receipt says visa collection date or passport collection date? If it does say visa collection date its a good indication that your application is approved. It may be released earlier than 3 to 4 weeks.
Marie says
Hi alvin , its just written collection date , they didnt take my passport coz they told me they’re not taking passport anymore . And ill receive an email in 3-4 weeks . Will they tell u right away if ur application is rejected ?
Alvin | AB&Me says
If there is incomplete documentation to support your application, they would have asked you already to explain during the date of the application. If they didn’t ask you anything and your documentation is complete it is a good indication that the application will be granted, however, they have to do check if your documentation is legitimate and final decision is based on what their findings are.
Rons says
On the website, it says travel insurance is required. Where can we get travel insurance?
Alvin | AB&Me says
You can check with your bank. We got ours from dnata Travel website https://www.dnatatravel.com/insurance/?brand=1&mkid=421373980&aid=11&dev=c&dev=c&mkid=421373980&aid=11&adid=63987505007&gclid=COTM76Gv7c4CFcG4GwodfckKcw
Good pm.. just wanted to ask im currently working here in Kuala Lumpur, i completed all my requirements but unfortunately i dont have Bank Statement, cause im getting my salary through envelop my bank is in BDO in Philippines so i have to request from them online to send me my Bank Certificate via DHL to attest my income status, do you think Salary Table and my Bank Certificate will be enough alternative for Bank Statement? thank you
Alvin | AB&Me says
We cannot confirm if Salary Table and my Bank Certificate will be enough, the procedure and requirement stated in the article is specific to Dubai.
In general, bank statements are required along with proof of employment in order to assess legitimacy and legality of employment, bank statements are also used to determine if an applicant is involved in financial activities that are illegal. In your case, the documents that you plan to submit have no link to each other than your own statement. As we usually say, decision on visa application is solely up to the consular/immigration officer.
hi shiela, hi alvin,
tanong ko lng kung may blog kayo sa UK Visa for Filipinos in Dubai..
thanks alot
Alvin | AB&Me says
It is currently being drafted.
Its posted.
Cynthia Paris says
Ask ko lng po..if accepted pa ung invitation letter in appliying a visa to turkey?thanks
Sheila | A B & Me says
invitation letters are considered supporting documents so might as well have one just in case.
Nel says
Hi shiela, good afternoon. I just wanna ask regarding tru online application kasi di ako makaproceed dahil wala silang continuation ng form hindi ako makakaset ng appointment pano po yon???
Sheila | A B & Me says
Mam, nung nag apply po kasi ako ng visa sa kanila, dumerecho ako on the day itself. Maaga ako pumunta kaya na accommodate ako. Kung hindi ka ma accommodate the same day, bibigyan ka nila ng token or number at yun na yung appointment mo for the next day. Hindi ko po na subukan mag online appointment. Siguro mas ok kung sa embassy kayo mag inquire.
Nel says
Sige salamat po
mickey says
Good Day!
I went to the embassy and submitted all the required documents. prior to that I had to make an appointment online and upload all the necessary documents.
my concern now is the lady in the counter took all my documents except for my passport and told me that they will review my papers. Once done they will contact me.
does that mean my visa got denied?
i badly need help.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Not necessarily, It only means that they don’t want to hold on to your passport while they haven’t decided yet. This works for you because waiting time can sometime take a long. Since your passport is with you, you are free to travel while waiting.
AronF says
Hi Sheila, I hope you are well. I am planning to visit Turkey this coming October. However, since I need to initiate the papers and prepare all before arranging an appointment, I would like to know if do they need to see a particular amount in your UAE account (since they need the 3 months bank statement)? And how much would that be approximately if you have an idea? I have the complete itinerary (flights and hotel confirmations already) for 4 days 3 nights. It would be grateful to hear from you soon. Thanks very much 🙂
Sheila | A B & Me says
Just provide them your bank statements. Amount is not specific.
AronF says
Thanks very much Sheila. I am thinking actually if I will ask an agency’s help or better to do it by myself. I checked with one agency and they said you must have 14,000-15,000 AED in your account, which I have doubt (I am only staying there for 4 days and flights/hotels are all set).
Sheila | A B & Me says
its not difficult. might as well save the fees.
AronF says
Thanks very much Sheila! Big help 🙂
Nel says
Salamat shiela
Nel says
Hi shiela, plan ko next month magtravel sa turkey for 2 weeks only, yung bf ko nasa turkey pero australian citizen siya and business owner siya ng jewellery shop doon. Do you think na maaapprove ako ng turkish consolate basta complete documents lang ako? tsaka hindi ba big deal kung magkano yung balance ng saving basta sa 3 months na yon nagkakaroon ng deposit? Kasi January ako nag open May na ngaun nasa 2,500 lang pera ko pero withdraw and deposit naman ginagawa ko so may 3 months bank statement pa din ako. Pakisagot naman po salamat.
Sheila | A B & Me says
Basta po complete documents maapprove naman. Good luck
Latif Ur Rehman says
hello
how we will make appointment for turkey visit visa, because for turkey visa appointment site showing some error is there any other option to get visa appointment please let me know as soon as possible……??
Sheila | A B & Me says
I believe you need to go to the consulate and get your appointment.
Thanks
Kath says
Hi, If one doesn’t have a valid Schengen/US/UK visa, then he is not eligible for E-visa, is that correct? In that case, she must apply personally.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Eligibility to apply for E-Visa is depending on your nationality. Depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements. You will be informed of these requirements after you select your country of travel document and travel dates on the E-visa application site.
Ehab says
Hi Sheila, Since I only have a bank statement of 2 months as my account was only opened two months ago, but I do have a significant amount of money in my account. Is it necessary to have a statement of three months or two is fine?
And do I have to apply for a appointment online, or can I personally go the consulate to submit my docs for the visa. Your immediate response would be much appreciated and thank you for providing us sceptics a lot of information for the process.
Kind Regards,
Ehab
Alvin | AB&Me says
The consulate requires 3 months bank statement, submitting complete documentation increases your chance of getting the visa. Applying online gives you a better chance of being entertained when you reach the consulate.
Andy says
Hi Shiela and Cyndie,
Is it necessary to submit a confirmed ticket? I actually made a booking and paid it already in January via online and just recently received an email that my flight was cancelled and i don’t have any choice but to cancel it and request for a refund which will takes 14 days before i can claim my money.Hows the visa processing now? Can someone share their experience please…thanks!
Alvin | AB&Me says
As per the latest update from the consulate website, you will have to provide a Copy of booking round trip flight tickets and hotel reservation
Cyndie Cruz says
Hello Shiela,
Na-submit ko na kanina yung mga requirements sa Turkish Consulate at binigyan na rin nila ako ng Token for collection ng passport. Ibig sabihin ba nito confirmed na ayos na ang Turkey Visa ko? Or may possibility pang magkaproblema?….. pasuyo naman based sa experience mo… Salamat!
Sheila | A B & Me says
I believe confirmed na yan.
Maritess says
Hi Shiela!
Ask ko lang, what if wala pong bank statement. Anong alternative ways to obtain a Turkish tourist visa? Are the accepting or allowing ” show money” ? Or a letter of financial support from brother/family na kasama ko dito sa Dubai.?
Yun nalang kasi ang kulang at wala ako (bank statement) Advice naman po, Thanks.
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hindi ko po alam kung ano pang pwede alternative sa bank statements…may credit card statements ka ba? Hindi ko alam panong show money ang ipapakita mo kung wala ka naman bank account? dadalhin mo yung pera mo sa consulate?
Try to contact the consulate na lang po.
Mary says
Chineck ko po ung banko, nag-iissue po sila ng bank statement of payroll card (Wertern Union Card – CBD po kasi ang gamit namin) , do you think po it could help? Basta my amount lang po sa account?
Sheila | A B & Me says
yes, that would do.
Nel says
Hi shiela, how are you? Ask ko lang sana regarding sa mga requirements kung tinatawagan pa nila yung mga company for assurance?
Sheila | A B & Me says
I can’t confirm that…they did not call my company though.
Timothy Reducha says
Hello there Sheila! My girlfriend and i would like to travel to Turkey, she was recently terminated, so she isn’t able to get an NOC, is this critical? and if so, is there a way around this rule? I will be travelling with her, but i have a Canadian passport??
Sheila | A B & Me says
I believe all consulates requires NOC’s to be able to be granted visas. You can still go ahead and try tho. I’m really sorry I can’t give you any useful information. Try calling the consulate, maybe?
Jhoy says
Hi shiela,kmusta…..kagagaling ko lng ng Turkish Consulate this morning to pass all my requirements the officer only asked me why I go turkey after she tell me to pay 225 & gave me the token with the date I collect my passport,if like this it means they give me entry visa for turkey? Please share ko lng din if who wants to apply visa for turkey there is an appointment online so please mga kababayan bear this para hndi sayang oras nyo kc hndi talaga cla mag entertain pag wla dalang online appointment….tnx Gid bless everyone
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi Jhoy! Congrats…may visa ka na!
Jhoy says
Bukas ko pa kukunin passport ko…just hope & pray
Sheila | A B & Me says
Good luck!!
aycee says
Hi Jhoy, did you have all the required documents including the bank statement when you applied?
Alvin | AB&Me says
It is likely that Jhoy have the required documents. If not, she would have been asked to return to submit the required document. It is better to have all the required documents, although it does not guarantee a successful application, it reduces the risks of getting denied.
aycee says
Hi Sheila thanks. I have completed almost all required documents except for bank statement. I don’t have a bank account, my payroll doesn’t provide one either ‘coz it’s a ratibi account. I found a list of my transaction history online, do you think that would suffice or will they accept it? Been trying to contact the consulate but no one’s answering.
Alvin | AB&Me says
Did you check with the bank if they can issue a certified copy of the transaction history. An online printout might not do as it can easily be forged. A stamped certified document from the bank is more legitimate.
Jhoy says
Hi Eden & shiela,if ever wlang ATM or any money transfer cards pwede bang cash on hand,tnx poh
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi jhoy, I honestly don’t know. I haven’t tried. 🙂
Jhoy says
Hi shiela, kmusta ask ko lng po kc bago pa lng ako nag ka residence visa dito mag 3months pa lng and my company issue me an NOC already which include my monthly salary also,pwede ko na itong e present as my requirements wla p kc kmi ATM card on lng ba ito….tnx God bless
Sheila | A B & Me says
Yes, present what you have. If you have credit card statements, that would do.
Good luck!
Hi! There is an e-appointment system for visa application in the website of turkey consulate in Dubai, however it wasn’t working after I put the information and email confirmation. Can I still go and apply without this appointment letter? I keep calling the office but no one is answering (9-2pm).
Thanks!
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi, this article was posted in 2013, they did not have any online appointment then so I wouldn’t know personally. But according to my friends who applied for visa recently, you can go there and try your luck. If you don’t get interviewed on the same day, you can ask to be listed for another day.
Hope that helps.
Qureshi says
Hi,
Today (8-Nov-2015) i went to Turkish Consulate in Dubai, and i reach there 9:10 i thought i could get the token and can submit mine and my husband Visa application, but unfortunately there is new appointment system , There was a blank paper, in there we write our names and the date we got 12-Nov-2015 after 3 days we get the date to submit our visa application. and we spend 2 hours for nothing. In there website no any appointment system, also your photo also need to same size as they required. (Two passport size photo (5cm x 6cm, white background)
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi, please note that my post is dated 2013. There has been definitely some changes. However, I also posted some updates on the blog.
Some readers commented that they went there very early and still got slots for the day. I think 930 is already late given that they only accept 60 applicants per day.
In any case, I wish you luck and hope you get your visas! 🙂
Dear Sheila,
Thanks for your posts. Just wanted your to know i got that i got my turkish visit visa. 🙂 I got nervous at first because the two guys who were first in the que before me got denied. When i had my turn the officer just checked all my docs and extra photo, and that’s it.. no questions asked. I paid the required fee and asked me to come back in few days to collect my passport. Yey!!
More power to your blog!
Cheers!
Hi Michelle, that’s super good news!
Thanks for your update and I hope you enjoy your trip. Take lots of photos. Turkey is such a nice place. Also, try the local food, You won’t be disappointed!
Hi Eden and Sheila,
You mentioned that there is now an online appointment for turkish visa application. I was trying to look for it online — googled it– checked their website, but no luck.
any idea where we can book online? I was planning to apply tourist visa soon.
Thanks.
Michelle
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi Michelle, a friend of mine recently applied for Turkish visa. They did mention that you need to secure an appointment a day before so the way I understand it is that you need to go there and get an appointment for the next day.
hi shiela im a currently working in dubai im planning to travel by nov. Just worried bout this 1st. NOC is that fr. My bf who leaves in turkey coz he is going to provide my expenses and sponsorship or should be come fr. my company 2nd. is there any amount needed for show money coz we only have C-3 Card and they said we cant asked for bank statement there,3rd how much show money also needed?
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi Janices, you need to provide NOC from your company stating that the do not have any objection for you to travel. Your BF on the other hand can send you a letter of support stating that he will be shouldering your expenses while in Turkey. No show money needed, you just need to establish that you can support your travel. — But you have to take note that this is only based on my experience and I am not an expert. You should ask the consulate if you have any other concerns.
Thanks,
Hi Sheila, I am a tourist here at Dubai, my visa will expire on December and I am planning to go to Istanbul Turkey this coming November, my aunt will sponsor my tour. What documents should I need to have?
Thank you!
Sheila | A B & Me says
I think you need to be a resident of Dubai for you to apply from here. But I suggest you check with the consulate directly as I am not sure about your situation.
Thanks,
Eden says
Hi, I went to Turkish consulate in Dubai and there is now an appointment. I came yesterday and wasn’t accepted. I was just asked to write my name/all applicant name if family – for next day’s appointment.
After paying, I was told to come back for passport collection – is that it? Does that means we are approved? (I applied for myself, hubby and child)
Thanks!
Sheila | A B & Me says
Thank you for your update, Eden.
What time did you go to the consulate? I’m asking coz as I’ve said in my post, they only accept 60 applicants per day.
However, my post was about my experience in 2013 therefore, it is possible that they have changed the process.
As per your question, I cannot answer if you are approved or not. But as per experience, they will not take your passport unless you are approved. I guess the only way to confirm is when you collect your passport. Good luck!
Eden says
Yeah, hubby is saying the same thing – that it’s approved as we’ve paid 225dhs each applicant and was asked to collect it. I am just wondering because there’s no question – just – for tourist? and if I have a different sponsor than my husband – I think the officer checked if we both have NOC from our respective companies.
yes 60 applicant still! We are number 7 🙂
All online, may it be their website or blog, doesn’t mention any appointment, but there is one now – although just a matter of writing your name on their blank paper for the next day or after. I went around 7:32 on Wednesday the 7th. and was told I have to come back. Officer starts to check documents from 7:30. And based on experience, most of the applicants coming in there were not aware of the appointment system. 🙂 so had to go through what I did.
p.s. passport size 5x6cm! 2 copies.
Sheila | A B & Me says
Thanks for the update again, Eden. I guess you’re visas are approved. It’s not very hard to obtain visa to Turkey (as per my experience).
I will put a link on your update on hte main post so people can refer to the same. Thanks!
Eden says
Hey Sheila! Got it now. Approved for 90 days. 😀
Sheila | A B & Me says
Great!! enjoy and take loads of photos!! Don’t forget to eat local, especially at the sultahanamet koftesci.
Joanna says
Hi Eden and Sheila, Can you help me with the appointment system in Turkish Consulate? We’re planning to go on December 2 for National day but I’m afraid we can’t get the visa on time? I have seen that Eden got their visa after 4 days only.
Did you just came there and bring all the required documents? and then the next time you went there is for the collection of passport with visa approved?
Please share on the first step that we need to do, do we need to fill up any form online or something? Appreciate any response from you girls! =) Have a nice day
– Joanna
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi Joanna,
I was given a form to fill up – I believe the link is on the post above. (otherwise, you can get the form from the consulate)
Bring all required documents.
Come early … very early so you get a chance to be interviewed same day. Worst case, you get an appointment for another day when you go there.
It’s fairly easy to get Turkish visa if you have all the documents. You can get it in 3 – 4 working days (1 week max).
Good luck
Joanna says
That’s a quick reply! Thank you so much Ms. Shiela, please continue to share needful informations like this.. more power to your blog =)
Sheila | A B & Me says
Thanks Joanna! Good Luck and hope you get visa.
Shirley says
Hello !! I would like to know ,, my BF from turkey wants me to go to turkey since I’m here now in Dubai . But I only have 3mos visit visa here in Dubai which will end on October 25, my questions are :
1) can I possibly get a visa from here ,, since I’m just a visit visa ?
2) I don’t understand the NOC ? Who will issue that ? Can I get NOC from my BF ?
3) can I tell the consulate that I’ll stay at BF’s house ? And will get sponsorship from him?
Hope you can help me . Thank you !
Sheila | A B & Me says
Hi Shirley, your situation is really different from mine so I cannot give you any advice aside from contacting the consulate. I am not sure if you can get visa coz you’re on visit. NOC is the No Objection Certificate from your employer (but since you are on visit visa, you won’t be able to get that.
Good luck.
Mitch says
Hi Shirley, we have the same situation. I wonder if did you manage to get visa?
kshitij says
i have to go turkey on this coming October for 2 days seminar. i am working in sharjah and my labour contract is expired already but still i have valid visa until november 19,2015. as i read in most of the articles that we should not have the passport expiry of 6 months to travel to Turkey but my passport expiry is after 2 years only. Just i am worried may be i cant travel to turket because of my sharjah visa is going to finish in NOV.19,2015.
Can you please guide me?
thanks:
Sheila | A B & Me says
you will be travelling for 2 days in october hence your visa is still valid when you come back. I do not see a problem there, although you should not take my word for it as I am not an expert nor connected to the Turkish Consulate. Please contact them to get a proper response.
Thanks
I don’t see any issues if you try. If you have any further queries, please contact the consulate directly as I am not connected with them.
Chelly says
hi dear, read from the net that it is required to provide both NOC from sponsor and a salary certificate. may i only provide an NOC as my company does not provide two different letter requests to a single addresee. thanks
A B & Me says
Hi Chelly,
I cannot guarantee anything but maybe if your NOC shows your salary as well then that could work. However, bear in mind that I am not connected to the consulate in any way therefore I cannot confirm that they will accept this.
You may call them directly in order to get a more accurate answer.
Thanks,
ronnie says
Hi Dear,
NOC & SALARY CERT. really required for that. Since we’re doing this for tourist purpose?
thanks!
A B & Me says
Yes those are required by the Consulate.
hi. I’ve got my Turkey visa last week. And im so thankful for your help regarding the requirements and the processing. Ar first, i was very nervous because i have no idea what are the things they will ask me, but when i reached the counter, it was very fast, they just asked me for how long will i stay in Turkey and what is the purpose of my travel. Then they just stamp my documents and come the day after tomorrow to get my passport back. As long as you have the complete requirements everything will be easy and fast. My travel will be on 9th of July 2015 and im excited. Thank you so much for your help.
A B & Me says
Hi Cherry!! Congratulations!
It is very easy to get Visa if you have all the requirements. Hope you enjoy Turkey as much as I did. The food is reaaaaalllly good.
Make sure you eat at the Sultanahmet Koftecisi … its just near Hagia Sofia…
Mary says
Hi A B & Me and Cherry!
I am planning to go to Turkey on March 12 – 15, 2016. I just wanna ask Cherry if you have presented your confirmed ticket which you already paid when you applied a Visa? As i have read post by A B & Me that ” Ticket booking & Hotel Booking” only would help in obtaining a Turkish visa.
I am asking because I already booked a flight and planning to pay tomorrow.
Since I can provide all other requirements such as NOC from sponsor, and Bank statement, Salary Certificate etc.
Thanks a lot..
Hi,
we are planning to go to Turkey, but my boyfriend will be coming from Singapore. Do you think he can still get a turkish visa here in Dubai?
He has an employment pass in Singapore.
Thanks!
A B & Me says
I think he needs to apply from Singapore. Please check with the consulate.
Thanks,
Cherry says
hi. I will be in Turkey on 1st week of July, you have any idea how much or what is the maximum pocket money should i bring for 3 days?
Thanks.
A B & Me says
Hi, would love to help but your budget should go according to your plans. Bring money for shopping, that’s for sure! Clothes are nice and cheap! 😀
Cherry says
you think AED 3,000 will be enough for shopping?
A B & Me says
Hi Cherry, if that fits your budget then go for it. I really cannot say how much you should bring. Good luck.
Cherry says
thanks. One more thing, i’ve completed all the required documents. My travel will be on 9th July 2015. So, when is the best for me to go to consulate for the application?
A B & Me says
Please check my post again. The processing usually takes 3 – 5 days therefore you need enough time to get your visa.
Also, you need to go there early and get a token. If you still need clarifications, you may contact the consulate directly as I am not, in any way, connected with Turkish Consulate hence I won’t be able to confirm anything.
Thanks and good luck! 😀
Thanks for this nice sharing. It really a helpful blog. Thanks again.
Hi im fila, planning to go Turkey, by this week once i get my COE, then ill proceed.. I have question, how much is the minimum salary for them to grant me a visa, since my salary monthly 2000aed equivalent..
Thanx
A B & Me says
As far as I know, there is no minimum salary requirement as long as you can prove that you are employed and you will come back to Dubai (or where ever your home country is).
You might want to check on the consulate regarding this matter if you need more info.
Good luck!
Found an online turkey visa, can I trust this site? https://www.turkeyvisaapplication.com/apply-online/
Hi shiela
Goodmornimg
i would like to ask if it’s required to present the flight ticket and hotel booking for visa application to turkey ?? Coz there’s no assurance if they will be approve the application right?do u think It’s easy to get visa for filipinos ?
Thank you so much
Jenny
A B & Me says
Hi Jenny, I did not present my hotel booking and ticket as I was a guest of Turkish Airlines (I got special treatment, LOL!) But if you have a booking (booking only, not ticket that you have paid for already), I think that would help. Also, hotel bookings would help (you can cancel booking anytime if you don’t get a visa… just don’t cancel 24 hours prior coz you might get penalties)
Just to clarify, I am not, in one way or another, affiliated with the embassy so don’t take my “advise” as gospel truth. (in short, walang sisihan hehe)
Hi Jay,
I wouldn’t know how much exactly. there are things to consider … hotels, transfers, food. I guess you just have to look around (check hotels online, etc) just to have an idea and build from there.
A B & Me says
Hi Leonard, have you tried contacting your bank to give you a statement? You should be able to get one since you have transactions with the bank even if its a debit card. If not, just bring your pay slips and Salary certificate from the company as supporting document.
I can not guarantee approval because I do not work for the consulate so, best of luck to you! 🙂
Appreciate your help. Thank you & Regards.
Hi, I think they are just looking for confirmation that you get a monthly salary. But if it helps, you can bring both. Good luck
I’m planning to go in turkey on December because it will be my vacation in Manila do I really need a NOC from my employer…?I’m planning to have one week tour in turkey before I go in manila…I’m working here in Abu Dhabi as a driver
A B & Me says
NOC is a requirement of the Turkish Embassy to obtain a visa so I would suggest you follow the requirements if you really want to go to Turkey regardless whether you are going to Manila or not.
Good Luck!
yNeL says
hi. i just have a question. all my requirements are completed to apply for visa but my bank account doesnt have money as i withdraw my salary every month and it shows on my 3 months bank statement. you think it would be fine?
A B & Me says
Hi Ynel, I cannot confirm for sure but as far as I know they just require proof that you have the means to travel and that you are going to come back to something in Dubai (establish ties with the country like a stable job, assets, etc).
They might ask you about your “budget” though. You can say that you have saved for this trip and will use credit cards (this is just in case they ask … don’t offer information 😉 )
Raisa says
With regards to 3 months Bank statement, does it have to be from the bank or can i simply generate a statement online?
A B & Me says
Hi Raisa,
I’m not sure. Try calling the consulate maybe they can help. I don’t want to give you advise that’s not confirmed.
Good Luck
Hanna R says
HI,
Just wanna check, cos I traveled to Turkey two years back and did exactly the same and was granted a tourist visa.
Now I wanna apply for another visa to travel in April, but I read online (wikipedia) that we are now eligible to apply for e-visa too.. I gave it a shot, in just 2 minutes of filling out the online forms I was granted the e-visa, multiple entry for 6 months. But as per Wikipedia, if I am a Philippine passport I am only allowed for a Single Entry, 3 months valid visa, with the condition that I only book a return ticket with Turkish airlines. And I already booked with Emirates.
Would you know if I’m gonna get in trouble? :p
Thanks,
A B & Me says
Hi Hannah,
I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to answer your query whether you’ll get in trouble. But in my opinion, I don’t think so. THEY granted you visa. You shouldn’t be penalized for their actions.
ARVA ABBAS says
Hi
I am planning to make a trip in April this year, can i apply for my visa in February? Thnx
A B & Me says
yes. Visa process only takes at least one week for approval
kate says
Hi. Is a roundtrip ticket and hotel booking necessary to be presented when applying for a Turkish visa? The NOC also? I did not see the NOC requirement on their website. Thanks
A B & Me says
Hi Kate,
tickets are not usually required prior to obtaining visas because there is still a big chance that you might not get granted entry and you would have to cancel/refund your ticket 😉
NOC’s are required most of the time and it would not hurt if you bring one even if it is not in the list of requirements.
Good luck
Hi A B & me, Just wondering.. Do I need to get appointment to apply the visa? and I am under Husband Visa.. I am planning to travel without my husband, He should make me a NOC from him or from his company to allow me to travel? Thanks a lot. its a big help..
A B & Me says
No appointment necessary. Just bring all the required documents. Bring NOC if you can para sure lang. I believe this should be NOC from your husband not from his company.
Good luck
Hi. I have a question. My flight to Turkey will be ob 9th- 12th of July 2015 ( 3 days).
and My UAE visa will renew on April 2015 and I will receive my new passport probably on May 2015.
So, is there a chance that I can get a Turkish Visa?
Thanks
Cherry
A B & Me says
Hi Cherry, as long as you have a valid visa and valid passport (at least 6 months) when you apply for your Turkish visa, there will be no problem. Just make sure you have enough time for visa application coz it usually takes a week to get the visa.
Luis says
Hello,
We booked a travel to Istanbul from an agency. Should the NOC comes from the agency or from my employer? Just confused. Sorry.
And can you suggest if it’s better to pay/join a group tour or just travel with ourselves.
And if we travel by ourselves what are the must see attractions in Istanbul. We will be there for 4 days in March.
Thank you:-)
A B & Me says
Hi Luis, NOC should come from your employer (its a document stating that your sponsor has no objection for you to travel). As for your second question, that would depend on how adventurous you are. Group tours have strict schedules which means you just follow their itenirary. The plus side of that is you wont have to think about anything. There are tons of places to go in Istanbul. You must visit the grand bazaar and hagia sofia to name a few.
A B & Me says
Hi Veronica,
I don’t think so. You need to have valid passport to travel.
My passport expires on 2018. However, it’s my visa that will expire on march 2015. Do they have at least 3 months validity of residence visa like in schengen?
No minimum amount. You just have to establish that you are capable of travel and not going to stay permanently in their country
Hi Tihanny,
My Turkey trip was arranged by Turkish Airlines including the hotel accommodation. We stayed at the Radisson Blu Istanbul which is near the airport. I’m sure there are other hotels around however I won’t be able to help you with your requirement. Maybe check booking.com?
Kathy says
Hi,
How much money do I need to put on my bank account?
Thanks
A B & Me says
Hi Kathy, the amount of money in your account is not that important. You need to establish that you will be able to travel (and handle all the expenses that goes along with it … hotel accommodations, air fare, etc) and that you will come back to Dubai. This, of course, is just based on my experience.
Good Luck.
Jocelyn says
hi, if i dont have bank statement, since my salary come from exchange, would it be acceptable, how much should be the money on your bank?
A B & Me says
Hi Jocelyn,
from what I know, you can present your credit card statement. You need to prove that you are capable to spend for your travel and that you will be returning to Dubai.
However, this is just from my personal experience. You should refer to the consulate with regards to your queries.
gee says
we are planning to travel on Nov 14-Nov 16 but my UAE visa will be expired on April 2015. Do you think I can still get a Turkish visa? Thanks.
I believe as long as your passport is valid for 6 months then it’s ok
Ryanne says
I am thinking of going to Turkey and I am planning to apply for Turkish visa. Could you please let me know what was the duration of your stay in your visa? I mean how long for Filipino with Turkish visa is allowed to stay in Turkey? Thank you!
Sheila Sheila says
Hi Ryanne. You would have to declare how long you will be staying in Turkey so I guess that’s for how long you will be allowed to stay. My trip was only for 3 days, and I asked for 1 week visa. If I remember correctly, I was given 1 month single entry. (I would have to check my passport and get back to you).
Check this site if you need more info: http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa
Hope that helps!
Makakapag apply naman po kayo ng visit visa kahit anong nakalagay sa residence visa nyo basta kumpleto ang inyong documents. Posibleng kailanganin nyo din ng NOC galing sa inyong employer na kayo ay pinapayagan na pumunta ng Turkey.
Based on my personal experience there is no required amount. As long as you can prove that you have a steady income and that you can support your travels.
For more clarification, it is better to consult the embassy/consulate.
