Holla! Since we are all stuck inside the house, I’ve been doing some crocheting to pass the time. It has been almost a month since the Safer At Home order came into place but we have been indoors for more than that. I just can’t wait for all of this to be over. In the meantime, let’s crochet!
Here’s an easy crochet face mask if you’re into that kind of thing. I’ve tried several patterns but I find this one easier and better. You can sew in an extra layer of fabric at the back to insert a filter. But since I don’t have the materials, I’ll just share with you the pattern for the face mask.
I got this crochet face mask pattern off from Youtube and it’s very easy to follow:
Easy Crochet Face Mask Pattern:
- Chain 41
- Starting from the 2nd chain away from the hook, do single crochet (SC). Continue doing 8 more SC on the next 8 chains. (Total 9 SC)
- Do 22 Half Double Crochet (HDC)
- 9 SC and turn.
- Repeat steps 2 – 9 till you’ve reached the desired width (about 18 rows)
- Turn and do SC across.
- Chain 30 for the ear straps
- Connect to the other end of the mask by making a slip stitch.
- Do single crochets on the next chains.
- Chain 30 for the other ear strap.
- Connect to the other end of the mask by making a slip stitch.
- Cut and weave in the ends.
Hope you find this helpful!
Stay at home. Keep Safe. We will get through this, world. And when all of this is over, we will celebrate with cakes and ice cream!
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
