I had the pleasure of attending bloggers and media Iftar at Liwan in Al Ghurair Rayhaan a few days ago.
I picked up Grace (Sandier Pastures) from her office (she works nearby) and we went together. So glad to see that Rosell (Kero’s Celebration) and Carla (My Yellow Bells) were already there. Impromptu girls night! 😀
Liwan Al Ghurair Rayhaan Rotana
An all-day dining restaurant that offers daily changing buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have several live cooking stations and a kid’s corner!
I’m not sure, but I think kids have been here! 🙂
They are serving International and Ramadan specialties while live music fills the air. All of this for AED 149 net per person. Quite a steal, huh?
I really loved the Ramadan themed interiors to complement the occasion.
And here’s where I tell you that I wasn’t thinking that day. I knew I was going to a buffet but I still ate at home!! Not a very smart move. When we got to the venue, I did not have the “space” to put all the mouth-watering goodness that they served. 🙁
I had Chicken and Vegetable soup which did not disappoint. It took me back home. It tasted like my mom’s soup which she would prepare with love during rainy season back in the Philippines.
Don’t let this plate fool you. The cauliflower and greens are so delish. It has just the right crunch and they are packed with flavor. I’ve learned to love simple food preparations because you can actually taste its goodness.
Dessert
Of course, I did not skip the dessert table! I always have room for dessert 🙂 Here’s Rosell and Carla choosing from the wide array of sweets served that night.
I loved the cones!
Liwan Restaurant at Al Ghurair Rayhaan is at the third floor lobby. If you are in Deira area, you must try a meal or two here. Guests will have the chance to win weekend stays or meal vouchers for 2. What really excites me is the grand prize — 2 business class tickets to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines!! (You know how much I’ve been wanting to go back to Istanbul!)
For more information, you can check Al Ghurair Rayhaan and Arjaan by Rotana on Facebook or on their website. You can also find them on Instagram. 🙂
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
