We were invited to attend the Kabayan Family Fun Day at Modhesh World last Tuesday, 26 August 2014. It was a good excuse to go out with B on a weekday. The little one is always cooped up at home with the nanny while A and I are at work. I only have one day off which is not enough!! (yes, boss .. just in case you’re reading this … it’s not enough. :p )
Anyhoo, back to the event. Basically, it is a mini concert showcasing our best singers and performers in the Filipino community. We arrived at Modhesh World at around 7 pm.
The program was slightly delayed as the guests of honor got stuck somewhere (heavy traffic, I guess since it’s rush hour)
These kids are just full of energy and pure talent!
At the end of the mini concert, photo-op with the PR team and HE Grace Princesa, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE.
After the show, I found B here:
So, I decided to go on a bump car ride with Carla (My Yellow Bells) and her kids.
It was super fun! The only downside is that I haven’t had dinner yet and we were all hungry. It did not help that the food inside is a bit pricey.
Almost everything is priced at 15 AED! Anyway, I got curious of the mini pancakes so I bought some to try.
Mmmmm… nutella. and. pancakes.
It wasn’t very busy at Modhesh World, probably because it is a weekday.
Here’s B, being very “chill” about the ride.
There’s also Angry Birds universe which I did not go to because B would rather have another go at the boat.
All in all, it was a fun night. For more photos, check out my instagram and look for #kabayanfamilyfunday.
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
