Hello!
I’m finally posting the Peppa Pig Sugar Cookies we made. I had so much fun doing this with Abi (Cuddles and Crumbs). Check out her blog for recipes and stuff. 🙂 She prepared the cookie dough using Haniela’s recipe. You can find that here. We rolled it out to the desired thickness and started cutting out the shape.
We did not have Peppa Pig cookie cutters so we had to improvise. We printed Peppa Pig’s face and used that as a template. This was the most time-consuming part. (Note to self: invest in cookie cutters!).
The Royal Icing was also from Haniela’s. You can get that recipe here. We used 20 second consistency for this batch of cookies.
Then we outlined and flooded the cookies.
It is recommended to let it dry for at least 24 hours. Then we added the eyes. We were supposed to pipe the black dots for the eyes but it was much easier to just use toothpicks. Hey, it worked so … whatever, right? 😀
Next we outlined the cookies once again using darker shade of pink and added the mouth by painting red food color.
And we’re done!
I bought clear plastic bags from Daiso and added some cutouts.
And that’s how we made Peppa Pig Sugar Cookies.
Although some of them looked like horses. LOL! What matters is that B loved them. If only I caught on camera her expression when she saw the cookies!
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
