Breast Cancer Awareness month has passed, but we are still at it. We joined the annual Pink Walkathon hosted by Burjuman mall at Zabeel Park. Just like last year, I made sure I can and will go.
We were at the venue a few minutes before the “walk” officially started. We made our way through the crowd to get as close to the front as possible. We did not wait a long time for the countdown to begin. I still get goosebumps seeing those Pink Balloons released (don’t ask me why coz I really don’t know).
We couldn’t find the person who does the face painting so we just used my NYX Hot Pink Matte lipstick to draw on our faces. LOLS!
This was the stage with the Dj’s. Kris Fade, Priti Malik and Brent Black. [Kinilig naman ako sa kanila … bata lang?]
With my forever partner sa mga “good causes”.
I therefore conclude, the cap does not look good on me. I think there were more participants this year. I don’t remember the event last year to be so crowded.
This was back at the starting point. I don’t know what they’re supposed to be.
Then here we are, enjoying our ice cream after the walk. We just found a nice place to sit and watch the entertainment. We stayed for a little bit more then decided to go home and spend the rest of the day at home.
Another weekend spent well. For just AED 50, we were able to help raise awareness and support for those who are in need.
And this is me trying to … I don’t know what I was trying to do here. LOLS!! I really must be getting old. There were lots of teenagers around, and they were doing they’re usual teenager stuff … like throwing water at each other or just screaming at almost anything.
I’m sure I did the same thing when I was at that age. But now, it annoys me! Gosh, how inappropriate. And gosh, how “lola” am I?!
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
