I won tickets to the pre-screening event for The Fault in our Stars movie last month.
When the book came out, almost everyone I know posted photos and comments about how much they loved it. I ignored the buzz. When I saw that there’s a competition going on for a pre-screening, I tried my luck because I have to admit, I got a bit curious. (Just like I got curious when Twilight came out … 😛 )
Luckily, I won the tickets so off I went with my cousin G! We were given shirts to wear. Unfortunately, they didn’t have my size. Boo! Anyway, I didn’t go there for the shirt, right?
The movie got my full attention from the start. I was crying midway and there were not enough tissues around. The movie did not disappoint. I loved it so much that I actually got the e-book as soon as I got home.
There were so many quotable quotes in this movie and I loved all of them. Loved them so much that I watched the movie again with another friend during regular showing. Here are some quotes I loved:
That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.
I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend.
Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.
You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world…but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.
I think I am in love with Gus. I really, really do.
Maybe ‘okay’ will be our ‘always
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
