After a very stressful week at work, I was given an extra day off to compensate. That meant I will be having a “long weekend”! Most employees can relate to having just one day off from work. Fridays are sacred. We stay home and recharge. But with an extra day, we decided to book a hotel and make the most out of it!
Dusit Thani Dubai
We’ve been to Dusit Thani Dubai several times already however those are for foodie trips. I am sure that the food is great, as always. However, it was my first time to book a room here. I was excited to see what they have to offer. We were not disappointed!
The booking was finalized the day before our check in. Even though it was very short notice, we were able to get a room. And because I have The Entertainer App, I was able to book two nights! #win
We got the Dusit Club Room which was a couple hundred dirham pricier than the Deluxe Room. But along with it we got the following:
- Private express check-in and check out at Dusit Club on 34th floor
- Complimentary airport transfer to Dubai International Airport (Terminal 1 or 3)
- Complimentary high-speed internet access in the room and Dusit Club
- Complimentary local-landline telephone calls
- Complimentary private meeting room access for a maximum of 2 hours per day, subject to availability.
- Buffet Breakfast at the Californian Restaurant located on the 24th floor from 06:30 am until 10:30 am.
Food and beverage services available with compliments at Dusit Club Lounge on the 34th floor:
- Tea, coffee, juices and soft drinks are available throughout the day until 10:30pm.
- Morning pastry snacks served from 11:00am until 02:00pm.
- Afternoon tea and snacks available from 02:00pm until 05:00pm.
- Evening hot and cold canapés from 07:00pm until 09:00pm
- Complimentary alcoholic house beverages and cocktail drinks served from 06:00pm until 08:00pm
The Dusit Club Lounge is open daily from 6:30am until 11:00pm. (Dress code: Smart Casual)
Dusit Club Room is definitely worth every Dirham. It is a little smaller than the deluxe room but it has all the basics. A king sized bed, a chaise lounge by the window where you can relax with the view of the busy Sheikh Zayed Road.
There’s also a small office table, flat screen TV, wardrobes, etc.
The bathroom has a tub, a single sink, shower area separate from the toilet area. The bath and the main bedroom is separated by a folding window. It’s nice when you want to soak and still watch TV. 😀
There were complimentary fruits, tea, and coffee as well as a well stocked mini bar if you don’t want to go out of the room. But of course, we made use of the Club Lounge. Mr. A enjoyed the “happy hour” while I stayed with B and did some coloring. LOL
The Pool Deck
As soon as we settled down, we went up to the 36th floor — the Pool Deck. It was a busy day so I wasn’t able to take a decent photo but here’s what it looks like ^
We spent most of our time at the pool deck because the little one loves to swim!
When we came back to the room, it was already cleaned up with a couple of chocolate squares. B ate them all! She actually asked for more so we went out and asked our butler (yes, we have a butler!! It is part of the Club Room perks.)
Dusit Club Lounge
The next day, we had breakfast at the Club Lounge:
The Club Lounge is nice and cozy. We were fortunate to have it all to ourselves that day.
After breakfast, Mr. A and B went up to the pool deck once again while I stayed behind and worked on my coloring book again.
Friday Brunch
We were also given complimentary Friday Brunch which will need a separate post!
After a sumptuous meal, we went back to our room to rest. Then A and B went to the pool deck once again while I went to my spa appointment. YES!! I was asked to feature Namm Spa which is located at the mezzanine floor of the hotel. (I will make a separate post for this Click here for my review!!).
The Californian
For our last day at Dusit Thani Dubai, we decided to have breakfast at The Californian. This is the first time I’m going to try this restaurant which serves international buffet meals. They also have themed nights to add variety to their service.
They have a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the award-winning signature Thai resto – Benjarong and the Italian – Pax Ristorante.
After breakfast, we went up to our room and got ready for check out. It was a weekend well spent. I love that I got to spend it with my loves and get to try something new at the same time. I recommend staying at the Dusit Thani Dubai for your staycations. It’s at the middle of almost everything and it is family friendly too!

Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
