I have so many “yaya” kwentos I don’t even know where to start.
First Yayay – She took care me while I was still pregnant and she stayed with us until we had to go back to Dubai. I really wanted to take her with me but there were so many complications with the visa application that we just gave up. I still want her… She really did a good job and I really trust her like a sister.
Second Yayay – We got a temporary yaya when we arrived in Dubai. I had no choice but to accept whoever came along. I needed to go back to work which means I have to leave Blake with the nanny. Yaya2 was ok. Until I watched our nanny cam. I saw her checking my stuff, opening drawers and cabinets in my room. She used my manicure set and my hair straigthener! Although nothing was taken, this really made me uncomfortable. I told her we don’t need her services anymore.
Third Yayay – This one I really liked. She and the baby would stay in the living room even though the master bedroom was kept open. If she needs to go in the room to take some baby items, she would do it quick. She doesn’t linger. My only problem is that she comes late (she doesn’t live with us – again a temp.) And two times she didn’t come at all which means I had to take emergency day off. I still like her because she’s trustworthy and she cares for my baby. Yun lang, dinampot ng pulis! (long story)
Fourth Yayay – again a temp. Referred by a friend and she’ll be working part time with us until end of this month. “Nanay” as we call her is very nice. She takes over everything. Bathes the baby, feeds the baby, plays with the baby and even cleans. Too bad we can’t keep her.
Right now, we are waiting for Yaya number 5. She will be permanent and we can just hope that things will be better!
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
