“Do you want to meet Santa?”
“Yes, mummy!! I want to meet Santa!”, Blake said.
“Ok then, let’s go meet Santa!”, I replied.
Last Friday, we spent our afternoon eating and having fun at Liwan Restaurant at Al Ghurair Rotana.
First thing we noticed is the festive decor of the place. Made me realize that we are at the home stretch of 2014!! And I have not done my Christmas shopping. I had a little panic attack right there. LOL
Luckily, there is a play area in Liwan Restaurant. There’s a mini bouncy castle …
Stuffed toys, pillows, ball-thingies (?? LOL) …
… arts and crafts area and there is also a balloon twister guy over there which I was not able to capture. I love love love this concept because we were able to enjoy our brunch without having to worry about the little one. She kept herself busy playing and eating. There’s a buffet for the little ones and a popcorn cart inside the play area! They also have staff to watch over the kids while the parents eat. Aaaahhh, bliss!
Winnie the Pooh made an appearance, but Blake was too chicken to say hi. When Santa arrived, we were first to be in line. We were hyping her up but when it was almost our turn, she decided she did not want to go meet Santa!! Luckily Auntie Abi was there to take care of the “gift collection” … HA!
One other thing we liked is the cookie decorating area. They dress your little ones in chef outfit including a chef’s hat (for some reason B hates hats of any kind!) I helped Blake decorate the gingerbread man … I think I enjoyed it a little bit more than I should. LOL
Here is Little Blake and Little Dude decorating their cookies! So adorbs. What is not seen in this pic is the fact that B ate most of the decor. HAHA!!
At the end of the “course”, they gave us a certificate. Cool! I have my own little chef. 🙂
While Santa won’t be showing up anymore, Liwan has continued the Little Chefs activity during Family Brunch. Call the restaurant on 04 293 3000 or email them at fb.alghurair@rotana.com for bookings. Click here for more details on the Little Chefs Family Brunch.
